Tea or coffee – can you decide?

Can you help others to come to the right decision, too? The right decision, in the interests of Scouting and Girlguiding in Newnham?

We need someone to chair the committee of our Scout and Guide Centre – to lead the process of making decisions about how best to make the building support the young people for which it was built. The committee meets once a term for a couple of hours to deal with matters ranging from buying tents to fund-raising, from bookings to bills. The chair of that committee is a key role, making sure meetings are productive and efficient, focussing on the needs of the young people who use our centre and their leaders. We’re looking for someone with good team-working skills, able to communicate well and willing to contribute to the strategic vision for the future of the centre by making objective decisions based on their own opinions and the views of others.
(The Newnham Scout and Guide Centre is owned by the 11th/9th Cambridge Scout Group and run for the benefit of Scouting and Girlguiding in the local community.)

If you’d like more information about the role, please contact our current chair, John Dutton.
